Kykao started in 2009 its first steps by a group of engineers (then students) who had nothing to do with the subject. Kykao comes from the ancient Greek drink “Kykeona”, which is supposed to contain barley, alcohol, goat cheese and based on the latest study mushrooms that contained psychotropic substances. Today it is located in Platani, Patras.
Today, Kykao has almost 70 labels and recently collaborates with wineries in Achaia to produce labels that use either wine blend or used wine barrels. Recognized as the best microbrewery of the year by RateBeer. ️
